ALOHA AND MAHALO NUI for your interest.
We are dedicated to serving the North Shore of Kauai through direct support of the library and its staff.
Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville supports the library through fundraising, such as the quarterly used book sales, Friends membership, and private donations.
Money raised through the Friends’ fundraising efforts results in additional books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs for checkout at the library. Additionally, Friends’ funding supports quality programming and community events.
All interested persons in the community are warmly invited to participate in events and volunteers are always welcome at the library.

Butterflies Display – New
Our butterfly garden plants have been eaten and over 20 butterflies have hatched from their cocoons!
The photo above (on the right) was taken last week. The butterfly is drying its wings in preparation to fly away. Surrounding the butterfly is three more chrysalises’ (more commonly known as cocoons).
We have created a display in the library for those of you who may wish to learn more about these beautiful insects.
We look forward to watching this fascinating cycle again next year!
