Princeville Library Has Abandoned the Taxpayers Who Fund It
Princeville Library has become a preferred hangout for homeless people flying into our island. The space that local families and residents once used is now regularly occupied by creepy weirdos with no connection to the community, making many feel unsafe and unwelcome.
Library staff seem more committed to enabling this takeover than to maintaining a safe, usable public library for the people whose taxes pay the bills. Families and serious users are secondary.
A public library paid for by local taxpayers should serve local taxpayers. When it stops doing that, the honest options are simple: clean it up and restore order, or stop funding it until it does.
